What’s the hop all about?

The MerCo Coffee Shop Hop is more than a caffeine fix—it’s a creative and fun way to explore Mercer County, Illinois, while uplifting the small businesses that bring our communities to life. This self-paced experience invites both locals and visitors to discover Mercer County’s growing coffee scene.

The idea is simple:
Visit, sip, snap, and share. At each stop:

Visit a participating local coffee spot—each with its own charm and specialties, from cozy indoor seating to on-the-go “coffee-ships”.
Snap a photo or video of your drink, the shop, or even a fun moment during your visit.
Post it publicly on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, using #mercocoffeeshophop and tag Visit MerCo.
Show us your posts on Facebook or email and collect a limited-edition MerCo Coffee Shop Hop sticker.

The goal?
