Visit Merco positions Mercer County as
the place to experience by boosting economic development through tourism-focused efforts.
How we got here..
Founded with humble beginnings in 2020, Visit Merco began as an idea formed by a group of community leaders who were igniting economic development momentum county-wide. These leaders realized that in order for Mercer County to grow and prosper, attention needed to be paid to marketing and tourism. Visit Merco was developed to begin this work to accent all of the community development initiatives that were launched, and to become the go-to entity for marketing and tourism for Mercer County into the future. In 2022, Visit Merco established an official partnership with Visit Quad Cities - the region’s certified CVB - as an affiliated entity.

Experience Mercer County
In 2024, the official Mercer County Visitors Guide is set to release. This is aimed to assist visitors, and even local, to find all our county has to offer. It is also a great way to highlight our local businesses and events.

Keithsburg Kayak Launch
The Keithsburg Kayak Launch project is a collaborative effort between Visit Merco, the Prosperity Alliance, Friends of Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge, and the City of Keithsburg.

MerCo Adult Softball League
The MerCo Adult Softball League, previously the MerCo Adult Slowpitch Softball League, was created in 2021. This offers those 18+ the opportunity to play in a county-wide, 2 month season of softball. Games are held in all participating community ball diamonds. Stay tuned for more league opportunities.

Ride 17 Music Festival
The Ride 17 Music Festival is our annual county wide music festival! Local bands and those from the surrounding regions come together for a full day of music. This event brings out locals and attracts new-comers to come and enjoy our county.
