Shop Fresh & Local in MerCo

Many enjoy purchasing fresh produce and shopping for hand-made items - we do too! In Mercer County, we have farmer’s markets that give you the opportunity to do just that. From the river to the cornfields and in between, communities work to provide a place for our locally loved markets.

Aledo

Managed by Aledo Main Street, this seasonal market is located in Central Park. From June to September, visitors can shop on Thursdays and explore the vendors that set up for the evening. They can look forward to offerings from agua fresca to locally grown vegetables and even handcrafted decor.

Matherville

Another opportunity for seasonal shopping is Matherville’s Farmers Market at Old School Park, which operates from July to September. While you shop for local and fresh products, your kids can enjoy the park surroundings. Before you leave, visitors can take a stroll at the Lake of Matherville and take in the views.

New Boston

Those looking for a riverside market experience can plan a visit to the New Boston Farmers Market and Vendor Fair, open on the 4th Saturday of every month from May to October (with weekly markets from July to August and crafting vendors available only on the 4th Saturday). This market is sponsored by Under the Rainbow in a charming riverside town that offers a unique shopping experience.
