Haunted Nights in Mercer County

There’s something special about October in Mercer County. The air is crisp, the leaves have that satisfying crunch, and the nights carry just enough chill to make you pull your jacket a little tighter.

This year, two local favorites are back to bring the scares, and they’re sure to make your spooky season one to remember.

The Haunted Corn Maze at Skinner Landscaping

If you’ve ever been in a cornfield after dark, you know it has a way of playing tricks on your senses. The wind rustles, the shadows shift, and suddenly every path feels the same. At Skinner Landscaping’s Haunted Corn Maze, that eerie feeling is taken up a notch.

Every Friday and Saturday night from October 17th through November 1st, the maze comes alive with enough twists to make even the bravest question their way out.

Admission is just $10 (with group rates if you bring the whole crew), and the fun starts at 7:00 PM sharp.

Whether you go for the adrenaline rush or just to hear your friends scream louder than you, this haunted maze is a fall staple in Mercer County.

Halloween Trails at Mercer County Motorsports

If a corn maze isn’t enough, how about venturing into the woods after dark? The Halloween Trails at Mercer County Motorsports are back, and they’re serving up two nights of hair-raising fun.

  • Walking Trails: Saturday, October 18th

  • Riding Trails: Saturday, October 25th

By daylight, these trails are all about outdoor recreation, but once the sun sets… it’s another story. Shadows whisper, creatures stir, and every turn brings the unexpected. Make it to the end, and you’ll be rewarded with some sweet treats to calm the nerves.

The trails are set at 2244 125th Ave in Aledo, and trust us, it’s an experience you won’t forget.

Events like these aren’t just about the scares. They’re about community, about neighbors coming together, kids daring their parents to tag along, and groups of friends laughing just as much as they scream. It’s small-town Halloween at its best right here in MerCo.
