In August of 1921, the New Boston Fish Fry was held to honor the hard work of flood workers and town merchants, with the farmers of Bay Island and community members coming together for the occasion. Since then, the tradition has continued, and every August, the community gathers for a weekend-long celebration of their town. This annual event has grown to become the largest event in the City of New Boston.
The festival commences with an exciting parade and offers a range of activities, including children's attractions, local vendors, live music, and the much-anticipated fried catfish and chicken dinners. As soon as you step foot into the New Boston Fish & Chicken Fry, the smells of their signature dishes will make your stomach talk.
